Sunstang has been competing since 1993 and began with the goal of giving engineering students the chance to work on a meaningful and impactful project. We strive to build a solar powered car that pushes innovation in the electric vehicle and renewable energy space. We explore new ways to create clean yet practical vehicles for every day use. And then we put them to the test at the American Solar Car Challenge, an international competition where schools race their cars on 2500-3000km routes.
